The naked CB500 parallel twin as built in Italy in its later PC32 form, with a rear disc in place of the original drum and Brembo brakes. It was Honda's no-nonsense middleweight commuter: a smooth, revvy liquid-cooled 499 cc twin in a simple steel frame with twin rear shocks. Its frugality and reliability made it a favourite with riding schools and couriers, and lightly tuned versions raced in a one-make cup.
